Fallout 4 – Star Control glitch – Not Starting – Nuka World Tips as well

I love the Nuka World DLC. I’ve done most everything the DLC has to offer, issues and all.

Fallout 4 – Nuka World – Star Control Glitch

I ran into a situation recently where Nuka World DLC was messing up. I started off with the galaxy zone. I wasn’t able to start Star Control. When I entered the zone it didn’t automatically start. Then the girl didn’t spawn with the holotape or anything and the entire quest messed up. If you find yourself in this situation then I’ve got a solution.

The text is as follows:

Hey i didn’t find a real fix but a way to skip the star control quest so you can atleast proceed with the main quest.

1. Save your game in case you mess up somewhere
2. Make sure that “Secure Galactic Zone” is the last thing to do in the “The Grand Tour” Quest
(This is very important otherwise you will skip the entire quest without gangs assigned to the other zones)
3. Open your console and type: setstage DLC04MQ03 100

You should now be able to assign a gang to the Galactic Zone flagpole and complete the quest.

I tried this and it worked. Go through and secure all the other zones first. Once secured you should run the command he recommended in the command line and it’ll clear that final quest and allow you to complete the overall quest.

Fallout 4 – Nuka World – Skip Settlement raiding

There’s one thing I didn’t like about Nuka World. It required you to raid your own settlements if you wanted to get the best ending. In that event you ended up losing Preston as a companion and losing several settlements as well. I found a fix for this.

Once download it allows you to skip raiding your own settlements all together and maintains your relationship with Preston as well as giving you all rewards for completing the quests as normal.

Fallout 4 – Mod List – 5/6/2017

I’ve reached almost 300 hours in Fallout 4. I was around 220 hours before I started messing with mods. The sad reality of the mod system now is that it disables achievements. I didn’t know there was a method to avoid this issue at first, so I ended up losing the ability to use achievements with my current save.

Fallout – Achievements, Script Extender, and Loot Application

Achievements At Nexus Mods – This mod is simple. It allows the player to receive achievements while playing with mods active. This mod requires the Fallout 4 Script Extender. Please note I started using mods before I knew about this achievement mod. This achievement mod only works on games without the M addition to the save state. Once you use mods on a game it changes the status of the save file to M. When this happens this mod no longer works and has to be used BEFORE you start using the mods. So I lost my chance this time, but if I ever play through again then I’ll end up using this.

So as a disclaimer.. I can’t guarantee or recommend anything from either the script extender or the achievements mod. I haven’t personally used either of them but wanted to mention them before you modded your game. I haven’t personally used the script extender because I haven’t found any mods I wanted to use that required it.

With that being said, I am currently using a lot of mods. On top of that, I also add new mods every few days that I end up liking. I’ve got a heavily modded game, but overall haven’t ran into any problems because of it and everything seems to work perfectly with the mods I’ve had installed. I’ve installed mods in the past that messed things up and caused issues but I’ve always sorted them out. I did have one issue with a mod that I had to go in and correct something causing a crash when entering Nuka World. I’ll explain that below so you would know how to resolve the same issue.

Before we get into the load history I wanted to mention another useful app (that might even be essential unless you know all the sort orders). LOOT Application I know this is listed at Skyrim but it works for Fallout 4 as well. Open it up, download the master list (button at the top), optimize the load order and then approve it. It works perfectly and it’s supported every mod I’ve downloaded so far. I couldn’t have it work without it. Anytime you install new mods, I recommend re-sorting your load order to make sure there are no issues. It’ll also help identify dependencies or things that are required for other mods to work (in case you’re missing something). Also this app makes it easier to copy/paste your load order and mod list when you want to paste it into a forum for advice/feedback or if you’re trying to get support on mod issues and need to create a quick copy/paste list of your load order. It’s useful for all sorts of things especially if you get a real mod heavy game.

18 12 PushAwayCompanions.esp – I love this. Show away your companions or NPC (and other settings as well) which will throw them across the room with a funny vocal response from the main player.
19 13 Faster Terminal Displays (20x).esp – This speeds up terminals. I can’t say how much and didn’t really notice a difference but used it anyway, in case it makes it faster.
20 14 EatFood.esp – Eat food, use chems or stimpacks and other stuff directly off the ground before picking them up. I don’t use it a lot but it’s nice to use.
21 15 GKX Commonwealth Trash Collection.esp – I just added this one and it’s kind of nice. Adds a lot of  trash piles the PC can pick up which adds to their scraps. Very useful and fun mod, and the trash respawns sometimes. If you want to do it without collecting loot (which I didn’t) there’s an optional file for that.
22 16 Scrap Everything – Core.esp – Very useful with sim settlemetns. It allows you to delete everything out of a buildable area (even pavement and tree’s and things of that nature). Very useful for getting a “Fresh start” on building areas.
23 17 BTInteriors_Project.esp – Very nice mod. It allows users to explore internal areas. A lot of buildings and things are closed off and abandomed. This mod opens a lot of those areas up for exploration with custom interiors and was very well done. I spent hours just in FAR HARBOR alone going through abandoned buildings and looting stuff that was all previous closed off. Adds a lot of gameplay to the people who love exploring.
24 18 subwayrunnnernodynamic.esp – Not sure what this is but I have it for some reason.
25 19 Crossbow.esp – I am extremely disappointed the main game didn’t have crossbows, bows and arrows and so forth. This game corrects that. I HAVE NOT actually used the bows yet. However I’m in the process of trying them out later. Either way this is a great addition for me.
26 1a CraftableAmmunition_Adjustable.esp – I wish the main game allowed crafting of ammo. This is VERY useful. Adds a lot you can do with the ammo in the game including crafting it. I haven’t done a lot with it yet, but I just like having it in my game for if I get low or want to play around with it.
27 1b CraftableAmmunition_FarHarbor.esp  – Adds support for far harbor.
28 1c CraftableAmmunitions – Alien Blaster.esp – Adds alien blaster ammo since it’s a new weapon (I think found on Nuka World) which I just recently received.
29 1d SimSettlements_VIS.esp – I’m not sure what this mod is… but it’s something with sim settlements. There are several “add ons” for this which I’ll just detail “sim settlements addon” as they are listed and go into more detail in the more detailed sections.
30 1e BetterModDescriptions.esp – I don’t know exactly what this does  but I have it for some reason.
31 1f BetterModDescriptionsCOTC.esp – Something else I’m not sure.
32 20 Cannibal.esp – Adds a new content mods to the game. I haven’t played through the content stuff for this one yet, but it looks good.

34 22 AA FusionCityRising.esp – Another content mod. Very useful and fun but haven’t done a lot with it yet.
35 23 Armorsmith Extended.esp – Adds a new “armorsmith” craft table to the game with a LOT of new stuff to craft. Very awesome.
36 24 WRVR.esp – A new radio station with an entirely new questline and a companion. So far I’ve only listened and it sounds very realistic. Great voice acting on this one.
37 25 MaxwellsWorl.esp – Another content mod. I’ve not started messing with it a lot but it’s there for when I’m ready.
38 26 BeastWhisperer.esp – Adds the ability to tame beasts (better than the default taming system) and make them as companions and do some other things with them. I haven’t done a lot with this mod yet.
39 27 EveryonesBestFriend.esp – Allows you to use Dogmeat with another company. A little glitchy to first get working but once it’s working DogMeat is just in your party. I recommend removing companions, adding dogmeat, fast travelling once, then going and adding the other one. Then it works fine from then on.
40 28 BetterModDescriptionsAE.esp – Something else for better mod descriptions.
41 29 Armorsmith All DLCs Patch.esp – Adds support to armorsmith for all the DLC

Just add a weapon to the companion, add 1 round of ammo and then check to make sure it worked. It worked fine for me the first time.
66 42 SkipHSH1_6.esp – This is a must have mod for me. Let me explain. In Nuka World there is a quest that leads you into taking over 2-3 of your “settlements” in the main game for it to work. Making Preston hate you and losing you valuable settlements. This mod skips over that whole part of the quest line and once you talk to him it skips it all and automatically marks all this stuff as complete. The most useful mod if you’re going to play Nuka World and are picky about your game. I haven’t confirmed if this works yet because I’m just now working through the Nuka World story line but I hope it does.
67 43 Nuka World Bottle Fix.esp – Not sure what this does anymore but it was cool.
68 44 NukaColaCompany.esp – Forgot what this does too.
69 45 Quantum.esp – And this. These 3 were all random mods for Nuka World that were just thrown in my game, because. Mostly cosmetic or misc small stuff.
70 46 WestTekTacticalOptics.esp – Useful goggles but requires hotkeys. The only thing I didn’t like is it took off the main helmet of my main gear so I ended up not using it.
71 47 WestTekTacticalOptics-AWKCR.esp – Adds support for another mod I use up there.
72 48 FO4Hotkeys.esp – Only used for the west tek optical.. I’m still trying to figure out how all this works, I haven’t messed with it much.

With all that being said, I’m not going to detailed sections on every one of the mods. Just the main ones that I’ll setup below. I’ll try to make sure I cover everything but it’ll mostly focus on the best mods. I might come back and edit this post (or do a part 2) once I’ve finished working through some of the mods I haven’t even messed with much yet.

Fallout 4 – Sims Settlements and associated add-ons

Sims Settlements is one of the best mods I’ve played with, not to mention they just released two new versions. It’s a great mods. It also is setup to where the creator makes it easy for other mod makers to add stuff into the mod ass add-ons. People can add new houses, businesses and so forth that are cycled into the games plot creation. Basically this mod allows you to lay down a plot (residential, commercial and so forth) and then the settlers will be auto-assigned to the plots and start building. They build them out after awhile using a random selection from a cycled plot list (taking into account your add-ons) then creates the plot.

You can also collect taxes on the settlements and has the option to redo the sims needs to make them more realistic. Probably the best building mod ever added to the game and the mod maker did a tremendous job on this.

I think this is a very high priority must have mod but it’s a little technical to get the hang of but has a very deep help system and extremely active mod maker. Highly recommended. I got most of the mod add-ons as well.

Fallout 4 – Water Enhanced – 2k or 4k – Issue fix

It’s a great mod and adds beautiful water… but it breaks Nuka World. The game crashes every time Nuka World loads. So definitely don’t use this mod if your only save file is saved in Nuka World.

This is easy to fix. If you installed Fallout 4 with steam then the file path you need is below. If not, then just find out where the file path is based off your install location.

E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\textures\Water

Open that folder and find the texture named “WaterTileHumpy_n.DDS” and rename it to “# WaterTileHumpy_n.DDS”. Somehow that will fix teh issue and it’ll work again. At least from the latest version on 5/6/2017. They might release a new update to the mod that fixes it later, and updating the mod also might overwrite this fix as well and break it again. I just saw this in the Fallout 4 forums and it worked fine.

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch

This is HIGHLY recommended. It fixes untold number of issues and makes the game less buggy and overall more stable. I don’t know how they did it but they did a better job fixing issues with this than the development team ever thought about being. It’s similar to the Morrowind unofficial patch which fixes thousand and thousands of bugs. The thing is, it doesn’t just fix bugs but it fixes them well and so far I’ve not noticed anything it’s added to the game as new bugs. It’s very useful and highly recommended.

Fallout 4 – Everyone’s best Friend and Unlimited Companion Ammo

I first started with Everyone’s Best Friend. It’s a little glitchy but it works. I recommend dismissing your companion, adding Dog meat, and re-adding your companion. After that it works fine and both work well together. The mod uses an old technique which makes it unlikely to conflict with most mods. It’s a must-have for me.

The good thing is this works with the other mod for unlimited ammo for companions. Just give your companion a weapon and 1 piece of ammo for that weapon and he/she will never run out again. This mod doesn’t support other “Multi companion mods” if you do that then you’ll need to use the “Multi” option which can be glitch. WITH MAN’S BEST FRIEND YOU ONLY NEED TO USE THE SINGLE VERSION OF THE MOD. That version works fine.

I might edit this post in a few days and expand on this post or add more. For now I’ve typed a lot for one day. Almost reached a 3000 word Blog Post. I expect this blog post to be around 5000 words when I’m done because I will be going back into more detail about other mods I use as time allows and I’ll edit this post later today or tomorrow.

Now Playing – 3/5/2016

It’s been awhile since I posted this Now Playing series. My intent is to start posting more often overall going forward. Below is a breakdown of what I am currently (and have been) playing.

Now Playing – Fallout 4

Fallout 4 - Now Playing

This has been the main game I’ve played over the last few months. I’m currently 150+ hours into the game. I’ve completed most of the missions and unlocked most of the areas in the game, but I’ve gone slow on the main quest due to the limitations they impose across factions. You ultimately have to choose a final faction and certain missions become inaccessible at a certain point so I’ve taken a great deal of care into not locking myself out of content before I was ready and able to decide what paths to take on my own.

This game has been the main one I’ve been playing but I’ve basically been slowing down and starting other games. I’ve almost completed everything the game has to offer, before they even released the Geck (modding utility). Since then they’ve promised the following:

  • March DLC
  • April DLC
  • May DLC
  • Several new patches
  • Geck – Modding Tool
  • Hundreds dollars worth of content and additional DLC throughout 2016 and 2017.. and my guess is, beyond.
  • Bonus: Opens us up to an entire community of hungry modders

With that being said, I’ve already starting dipping my toes into the modding community. A lot of up and coming Fallout 4 modders have already start creating mods even before the Geck came out. Once that comes out there will be a huge release of thousands of mods. New content, companions, adjustments, improvements and so forth. I’ll even be modding as well.

So this game is going to be on my Now Playing list for the rest of 2016 probably. I’ll play until new DLC comes out, then take a break. Then play again.

Now Playing – Morrowind

The next big game on my current list is Morrowind. I haven’t played it in a long time, so I started up a new install. I setup my game through Steam and redid all my initial mods. I had a lot of work involved into preparing my game, as modding is different in the Steam version. As of two weeks ago I officially started back on it.

This one I’m doing on the side. It’s a huge 500+ hour game and I’ve got at least 400+ hours of DLC I downloaded (Tamriel Rebuilt, and some huge quest mods, and several companions that have massively programmed quest mods). So this is going to be a game I work on here and there again over the next few years. I’m planning for this to be my complete play through. I intend to do a perfect playthrough for the first time. I’ve gotten almost everything on the main island in an old save, but it was long ago.

This will be my perfect playthrough. I don’t expect to finish it quickly but 5-6 hours here and there over an extended period of time. Once complete I intend to transition over to Oblivion again, and then finally Skyrim for a full playthrough of each. So right now It’s Morrowind from beginning to end, then onto Oblivion. This will be over an extended period of time but is a gameplay feat I’ve been planning for a few years. I was waiting for all Skyrim content to get finished and the modding scene to get more mature with a lot of modding options as well.

My plans with these 3 games is honestly the same as with Fallout 4. I’ve got a “mature” save in Fallout 4, and over time as new DLC and mods come out I intend to be at upper-level to be able to experiment with new things. Before I move into the missions involving the final choices made for the factions, I’ll do a backup save and base all my exploratory content off of that. I plan on doing some heavy time modding on Fallout 4 as well once the Geck is released.

Now Playing – Shadows of Mordor

This one I’m playing on and off. I’m at the very end of the game. The last thing I’m trying to wrap up are the last few survival and combat challenges (maybe 3-4 total) and then finish the last 2 main quest missions. Once I sit down and put perhaps a good 5 hours into it, I can wrap this one up. I went for a perfect game on this one because of how much I liked it, but I took a long break from it.

I spent a lot of hours on it, took a long break, then spent more time on it until I got to the very end. Recently I’ve been playing it 30 minutes to an hour here and there as I work through unlocking the rest of the content. I should finish it this upcoming week sometime and mark it off my list.

Now Playing – Left 4 Dead 2

So I picked this up again and start playing online quick matches again. My main goal was to unlock a few more achievements I had missing. I unlocked one rare one shortly after I started playing again, and now I’m considering spending the time unlocking the higher difficulty achievements. I’ve got a lot of experience at this game and should have finished them a long time ago. I may be alternating between this and the first one, but I’ve definitely been putting some time into this one lately.

 Now Playing – Diablo 3

I’ve spent some time on this game again Today actually. It’s my first time since the beginning of the season (which isn’t going to be ongoing too much longer). All I really did was get one character geared up and ready to go. I still haven’t optimized his stats or gotten any of his stuff setup right. It’s a work in progress and was only about a 3-4 hour gaming session. I can picture myself playing this again over the next few days and getting that character fully Torment 10 ready, and from there spending some time working towards my season journey.

I think it’s a little late in the season to expect much progress, but it would be nice if I could power through and unlock the new set of wings they have. Even if it only is for carrying it over into my normal game. The whole point is the more I can accomplish within this current season, the closer I will be in my main non-season HardCore game.

Now Playing Series

Restaurant Rules – Restaurant rules for thought

Throughout my life, I have eaten out more than most people. I’ve eaten at most restaurant’s in Georgia at least once, as well as every fast food place that I’ve seen. Throughout my years of dining in and getting takeout, I’ve watched people. I’ve seen my share of mistakes at these eating places, and by customers as well. Throughout that time I’ve been able to identify a specific set of restaurant rules for customers, fast food staff, and restaurant staff. A basic set of rules that are very easy to implement, but if implemented successfully would almost guarantee perfect experiences wherever you go.

There are of course situations where it won’t help, but I’ve formed these rules after watching how these places operate, and how customers respond to certain things. Below I’ve taken a few minutes to list out these rules for Restaurants (staff, and patron) and fast food places (Cashiers, servers, and customers as well). I have a strong feeling that if any customer implemented these basic rules every time, and if fast food chains started enforcing these as rules.. then it would change the customer experience a great deal. I feel if any individual food chains started implementing a basic set of rules, and got their employee’s very serious about enforcing them… then it would change the way customer service is done in the fast food and restaurant industry.

The rules are simple and easy to understand, and as such are listed out in bullet point format below each one. Sometimes these rules are hard to follow. Especially if your in a bad mood. With that being said, it’s never too hard to spend a few minutes being polite to someone else, especially if it’s your job. Same for customers.

These are just my opinions, and a few things that I’ve noticed which would make a drastic difference in how people interacted with each other in the fast food, and restaurant business.

Restaurant Rules

Basic Restaurant Rules set

General rules – All roles and situations

  • Be polite

Restaurant Rules – Waiters

  • Approach new parties within 5 minutes of them being seated, unless your in the middle of something. If your busy, stop by for a second to let them know you’ll be with them shortly.
  • When you take orders, double check to make sure it’s correct.
  • Always record the orders on paper. I’ve seen some waiters and waitresses who never use paper, and memorize it all. However, we are only human and there are strong chances of things being missed. You won’t find very many who use this method, and get 100% accuracy on all orders. At the very least, writing it down gives the customer more peace of mind.
  • Visually check tables (from a distance is fine) every 10-15 minutes for basic stuff. If drinks are running low, top them off. If someone had alcohol, and they get low, offer another.  If you see a shortage of silverware, napkins and so forth them bring them. Basic stuff like this can go a long way.
  • Without any customer direction, never go more than 20 minutes without checking in. Sometimes though customers are having important, and private conversations. If you feel this might be the case, ask them how often they would like you to check in with them.
  • Always quality check everything that comes from the bartender, or kitchen. Make sure drinks are right, alcoholic drinks are right, double check all food that it’s right and to the specifications requested. Double checking should be a general trait that happens every time. Compare the food to the original order receipt each time. Anything that is off, take it back and have it redone. If you have a concern, and aren’t sure deliver it to the customer and check with them on a specific thing (Is the meat too hard, is it too this, or whatever).
  • Triple check everything with allergies. At each table, ask if anyone is allergic to anything. If they are, triple and quadruple check. Go above and beyond pertaining to anything with allergies. Most places require managers to step in for such orders as well. Always do everything you can to ensure this is a non-issue.

Restaurant Rules – Customers

  • Always leave a tip of around 15% with smaller parties. In large parties (10+) I recommend giving tips around 20% at least. It seems like a lot… but the horrible truth is most restaurant servers make crap pay, if any. Literally around 90% of their income, comes straight from tips.
  • Be up front and honest about your allergies. They wont’ know unless you tell them.

Fast Food Rules – Servers

  • Always repeat back the order in grave detail, before accepting payment (whether at drive through, or at a counter).
  • Double check orders before delivering them to the customer. Even if things are busy, double check every order with a mental check list. Even if it holds up the line slightly. It’s better for a slight delay initially, than people coming inside or going through drive though again when things are wrong. I worked in fast food for awhile. Even when it was very busy, as long as everyone is paying a decent amount of attention, it takes microseconds to mentally review an order before passing things out the window.
  • If straws are behind the counter, or it’s drive through always give one straw per drink WHEN The drink is provided. Instead of putting it in the bag, or giving it afterwards. For each drink you pass, including a straw with it as well. This guarantees no mismatch between straws and drinks.

Fast Food Rules – Customers

  • Speak a little louder than normal, slowly, and clearly when speaking through a drive through speaker system. Most aren’t built very well, and can be hard to hear on the other end.
  • Have payment method ready when you get to the first window.
  • Ask them to repeat the order exactly, to double check. If there’s anything they’ve forgotten in the past, remind them at the first and second window to double check it. Especially if they are busy.

General Common Sense

Keeping these restaurant rules in mind is primarily only the beginning. There are a lot of common sense things that I didn’t cover here. The food is a two way street that deserves respect all around. It needs to be from both the people ordering and receiving food, to the people taking orders and preparing food. The world has a lot of restaurant chains and even more fast food places. There are a lot of various things to enjoy, so have fun and treat each other with respect.

Devil’s Turnaround and other haunted cemeteries

I have an avid interest in supernatural, paranormal, and horror related stuff. Recently I’ve taken an interest in haunted places, and haunted sites. I live in Georgia, so it’s pretty much been a local focus (so far at least). So far I’ve had extensive experience with two places. The point of this blog post is to document the experiences from the 3 “haunted” places I’ve visited in Georgia and what I found that I considered abnormal in those locations. They were Devil’s Turnaround, Kennesaw Battlefield, and Roswell Cemetery.

The Feeling

Before I start discussing the individual places I visited, Devil’s Turnaround being one of them, let me clarify the feeling. Everyone has felt this feeling at some point or another. A strange feeling. A feeling that something is wrong, your being watched, or overall tingly like there is supernatural activity around. Even those who don’t believe in anything supernatural, have at some point felt this feeling and just attribute it to something else. Below, I mention when I have that “feeling”. Normally, accompanying the feeling, is when stuff actually starts happening.

Roswell Cemetery

This one we visited due to what we read online.

I wanted to start with this one, because it was the least interesting. I went there once with a friend, and we walked through both sides (across the street). Obviously it was dark, probably around 2 in the morning. This experience was normal. Neither of us felt anything supernatural, saw anything, or even flashes of anything. It was no different than walking down the side walk. There was no activity of any kind in this cemetery and we left within about 20 minutes after walking throughout each part of it. It was a little naturally freaky being in the middle of the night, but besides that, we experienced nothing at this one.

Me and my friend both agreed that we were not re-visiting this one. If it is haunted, we didn’t experience anything to lead us to believe that. Not even one thing.

Kennesaw Battlefield Park

This was another place we visited, due to the reputation we read about online.



This place was something special. We went there two times, total. I am going to document each trip here.

The first time we went, it was very late at night. We pulled into the battlefield to find a place to park. Conveniently there is one parking lot that always seems to be open (even though it has a closable gate with a closed sign on it). The first time we went and pulled in, we were startled by a truck parked in the parking lot, with it’s outer lights off, but interior lights on). We immediately thought it was security and turned around to leave. Oddly, the truck started following us out so we thought perhaps it was security making sure we left. We turned off into a gas station, and they went past. It was just a lady, probably had just parked to do something or was just leaving the park.

When she was gone, we rode around the area again and went back to the parking lot. On this first trip it was just me and one of my friends. So we pulled in, and as soon as we were able to turn left, we turned left and parked all the way in the far corner. We did a full circle around the parking lot, and most of it was blocked off by a fence. The area we parked was right beside a small hill and opening heading into the woods.

After parking we headed up the hill, through a small patch of woods, and out into a giant open field. Across the field we could see the road. So 3-4 things happened while we were there this first time. The place is definitely haunted. The first thing, is in the distance we could see small creatures, about 10-15 of them. They looked too small to be deer, and too big to be wolves/coyotes. I am not ruling out any of the possibilities, but they acted odd. When we started heading in their direction they started scattering, but more of appeared to vanish out of thin air, instead of running into the woods. We only saw them the one time, and that was when we first entered the field. Were they supernatural creatures, possibly. Am I sure. No. They could have been smaller deer wolves, or coyotes. But whatever they were, when I saw them I had that strange feeling.

At the same time we saw these creatures (again, perhaps they were wolves) my friend saw a ghost image of a guy sitting on top of a horse. He described him as a confederate soldier. I didn’t see it in full, but I saw a glimpse of it before it vanished. It was there.  At that point is when the creatures starting scattering in all directions. At that same point that we had enough, and turned to head back.

One final event, probably the worst. Is I swear I saw a snake on the ground. A huge snake, that was moving. I freaked out and my friend almost shot it. However, here is the odd thing. He said it was a tube. So I looked again and it wasn’t a snake anymore, it was a giant piece of tubing… sitting in the middle of the field. I could have sworn I saw a snake.

Then on the way back through the woods, we felt something watching us and strange feelings. Got I the car and left. This place (from what I can tell) has a lot of activity). Another bad thing about this place is the field we went to was extremely wet. The dew on the ground was so bad, and the grass was a little high that my entire shoes and socks were soaked. Also if you are there really watch out for snakes. It’s an open field, and snakes, wolves or other wild animals are definitely a possibility.

After the first trip, we went back one more time. This time I went with the same friend, his brother, and his wife. This second time wasn’t really all that much to talk about. We went through the same field all the way to the road this time (no activity, except the feeling). Crossed the road and went to the battle area. Entered the area where it says visitor center, then walked all the way through the field looking for activity. The worst that happened was a pair of wolves trying to flank us (guerilla tactics it seems) but when we got a little loud they ran off. Besides that nothing really happened, besides another set of soaked shoes and socks.

A small update. Since posting this blog post, we returned to the battlefield one more time. That experience has been documented below.

We visited the battlefield again, me and one of my friend’s. We parked in the same place, and ended up walking to the main road. We walked all the way down to the visitor center and walked around in there for awhile. There were a few situations where we thought we saw things, but our minds could have been playing tricks on us. When we walked by one of the buildings we heard what we could have sworn was a door opening, so we ran and I fell down some stairs trying to get out. However when we got the nerve to return, and went around to check on the sound nothing and no one was there. Then we saw an unlocked boiler room. I opened it, but of course didn’t go in. I wasn’t going to trespass.  However, due to the sound we heard I am almost certain that we heard someone or something open that door, because it was the same sound.

Pretty interesting night, but nothing major happened.

Devil’s Turnaround – Noon Day Extension Cemetery

Devil’s Turnaround is the worst out of all the places we visited. Because of that, we visited it at least 4-5 times. Most of the time there was noticeable activity, sometimes there was very little. We always saw stuff at Devil’s Turnaround.

The first trip to Devil’s Turnaround was the worst. It took us a long time to find the place. We drove throughout 4-5 different areas of Georgia trying to locate the exact cemetery and we finally found it. All you have to do is Google “Noonday Extension Cemetery” and follow the GPS. You can’t find it very well just using the name “Devil’s Turnaround” although that’s the unofficial name for it. It will be on that road, directly off the side road. If you look off the road with a flash light you’ll see the entrance place marker. Not hard to find once you know where it is, and what your looking for.

If you either find yourself at a church on a dead end (long scary road) or if you can’t find it, then look for “Noon Day Cemetery”.  That’s noon day church. It’s the church that controls the grounds (or use to) for Devil’s Turnaround. From there you follow the road all the way back until you can turn left/right. Then you turn right on that road, and turn left into the first set of buildings. Turn left again into the parking lot when you can and park all the way to the left on the side. Away from camera’s and out of the way of traffic. Park behind one of the tree’s if you want to be hard to see from the road, and make sure you check around for cops. This place is fun, but technically you could get a ticket for being here. Although people go all the time. We even saw people there once (I will explain later). Now to get to the cemetery just walk to the road and head left down the road. You’ll see a blocked off area that you want to avoid, keep going down past a small forest, and there will be an opening directly beside that forest. Go a little ways in and you will see the cemetery marker. Those entire woods are where the cemetery is.

Now that you know how to get to Devil’s Turnaround.  The first visit was the worst. When we first parked at the building up the street from Devil’s Turnaround we were already paranoid. It was me, and two of my friends. One of them was the same one that went with me to Roswell Cemetery. When we first got there, the first thing that I Noticed (which happens every time) is a strange knocking sound off in the distance (behind the building, which I will explain in a minute). It’s just a slamming sound off in the distance like something dinging off the side of a building, but it happens every minute or less, and it’s very, very unnerving. Accompanied with it is always that same fielding of dread.

So after getting over that freaky noise, we hit the road and headed down it. The first time I was there I could have sworn I saw a ghost floating behind us, but it turned out to be car headlights and almost gave me a heart attack. We finally got to the entrance and went in. Within a few minutes my friend got punched by something that wasn’t there, and shortly thereafter got knocked clean on his butt. Landed face first into the ground. After a few minutes in, when all our nerves were high… that’s when I saw it. I saw something move from one tree to another, a man. Looking at me then vanishing behind a tree. I almost had a heart attack and took off running towards the entrance (I don’t scare easy) but I felt a horrible feeling when that happened. It took a lot for them to talk me into going back in.

Besides that, we saw a lot of stuff in those woods. Almost every few minutes we would see a face, shadows, moving and other weird things. It was very real, and very scary. My friend got touched on the shoulder by something and his shoulder was burning. Even after we left (I’ll explain in a minute). Eventually we got bored because it was reduced to randomly seeing things but nothing happening. On the way out my other friend had roped tied around his foot, that wasn’t there before. Like something in the woods was trying to hang him upside down.

After that we went back to the road, and actually went into the back area. There is a path right beside the building and a giant watering hole. So we starting going down that path. Got a ways down and saw an abandoned basketball goal, Followed the path all the way down to an abandoned building. Probably the building that use to be a bathroom. We felt a lot of weird stuff here, and it was where the knocking sound apparently was coming from… but when we were in the vicinity the knocking sound stopped. It literally only happens when your not near it, then it stops.  After that, we left.

My friend had a burning shoulder for days until he went to a pastor (someone recommended him go) who prayed for his shoulder and the burning stopped. This was just after two visits only to Devil’s Turnaround.

That was our first trip to Devil’s Turnaround, but not the last. The second time we went, we took the same people, but my friends wife also. The three things that happened was us seeing a lot of things, the same ominous feeling, and her acting weird. She was horribly sick and was about to pass out when in that place (I guess the presence of something) and as soon as we left she threw up (A lot). That was the second trip, not much to tell besides seeing things all throughout the woods.

That second trip to Devil’s Turnaround, as we were leaving, was when the scariest part happened. We went down the side road (towards the dead end church) just to turn around and see if anything weird was happening up there. On the way up there we saw a van parked in the front of a “water” tower. There is a water tower surrounding by a giant fence, and there was a trailer just sitting there. The kind of trailer that people sleep in. But it was odd. It was facing the woods with the door opened… no lights on, totally dark. So we went past it to the church, and turned around. On the way back down my friends brother rolled down the window. He called out, just checking if everything was alright. Silently something walked down the stairs and started heading for the car. Whatever it was it was huge. It was moving very quickly and appeared like a shadow. We slammed on the gas and got out of there.

Half way down the street my head lights malfunctioned and just turned off. I had to turn them on/off a few times to get them to come back on. By the way, that never happened before, and hasn’t happened since. We were curious at that point so we went back to the church again a few minutes later (and he was still there, but with the door closed) and we turned around to leave again to see, and when we got back he was gone. With how big that was it was unlikely that it drove off, it apparently just vanished. We went fast down the road to see if we could see it, but nothing was there. They can’t go fast in one of those, we would have caught up to him within seconds. But nothing was there. It was like it vanished out of thin air.

We went back multiple other times. Each time, it was about the same after that. The ominous feeling and seeing things. We went back many times, with crosses and even bibles (Since people online said those things stir up activity there). Nothing else ever happened besides just the feeling, and seeing a lot of weird stuff. We went back at least 5-6 times since then and each time was the same stuff. It appeared to have died down after it got use to us. A few other odd things happened.

At one point just me and my friend were there, and someone else was there. We saw flash lights. I guess they had a heart attack and ran as fast as they could and cleared an entire 9 foot privacy fence on the far side trying to get away. That was the one and only time we ever saw someone else there. We kept yelling to them that we were just there like they were and weren’t going to hurt them. Tried to yell out that they were more than welcome to be there with us, but that was it. They were gone and not coming back. I felt back about ruining their experience, but it happened.

Aside from that, nothing else major happened.

I have another update to report since posting this last blog post. Again we revisited this place. Me and my best friend’s brother. We visited the cemetery itself again. We walked through the entire thing. Nothing happened the entire night. Not one vision, nothing visually, no bad feelings. It was a typical night with no activity. The most  interesting thing that happened was a small white spider landed on my glasses, which almost gave me a heart attack. My friend and I were joking that the ghosts were too scared to show up, and sent their spider pets to handle their dirty work.

So another example of nothing too interesting happening.

After we finished there, we ended up going to the building that is down a path beside the cemetery. What we believe use to be an old abandoned house, or bathroom of some sort. This placed seemed weird, and we felt awkward like we were being watched. At one moment we even heard weird sounds around the corner (not like an animal) but we found nothing when we investigated. Overall it was interesting, but nothing major happened.

In Closing

My final verdict.

Old Roswell Cemetery – No activity. Not even a feeling.

Kennesaw Battlefield – Definitely a lot of activity the first time, some the second time. So definitely feel that it’s haunted just less likely to see activity, I guess especially with more people.

Devil’s Turnaround – The first time we went to Devil’s Turnaround, it was crazy. The second one as well, but not as much. The more you visit Devil’s Turnaround the more you start get “use” to you, and nothing much happens after that.

I think they all are haunted in their own way. I wish we could have found places with a lot more activity. Perhaps I’ll even travel across state at some point to see haunted places further out.


Tales of Xillia – Grade Shop

I just spent some time playing Tales of Xillia. I had to do some research online to fully understand, and know the rating system. I figured I would write a brief blog post about my findings on the Tales of Xillia Grade Shop.

Tales of XilliaThe grade shop acts like a “gift shop”. You use unlocked grade during your play through, to purchase things in the grade shop at the end of the game. This grade shop provides a way to unlock things for the next play through. When your playing your game of Tales of Xillia you can perform certain tasks during game play to unlock titles in the game (and in the same scenario, trophies a well). These titles each have a certain amount of grade associated with them. Once the title has been achieved, the grade awarded for that title is then awarded.  These compile throughout the game play into your total “grade” at the end of the game. Then when you start your new game, you can choose what bonuses and carry overs you want to unlock for the next play through.  An important note to keep in mind, is that the grade you have, carries over also. So if you end your first play through with 5000 grade, then you have 5000 grade in the next play through. If you then unlock an additional 4000, then you have a total of 9000. If you beat the game again and start over, again you will start the new third game with 9000 grade from the start. Eventually you would unlock the total amount of grade available in a play through, which is 10,000 total.

Now, when the new game plus starts you are allowed to spend that grade on what bonuses, and carry overs you want to purchase. These are then brought into your new game during New Game Plus. Below is an overall list of everything that can be unlocked via Grade.

The following list was initially borrowed partially from IGN’s Grade Shop I just added onto it, and edited it as needed. All the following grade details are from Tales of Xillia. The first installment of the game.

This describes what you are able to unlock in Tales of Xillia. I will get more detailed regarding what is most recommended in a few minutes. First let’s take a look at what titles you can unlock, and how much grade you get for each.

Alright, so I have listed out what the titles are in Tales of Xillia, how much grade you get for them, and then what you can buy for grade at the end of the game.
That’s pretty much it. Now I will just provide a few suggestions on what to pick. What to pick exactly is greatly dependent on the person you ask. Every single person will almost say something different, so I will leave my main suggestions.
Devils Arms – Definitely get this one. These are the best weapons in the game once they are powered down, and will be the final weapons you ever need to equip. They would last you the entire second, and subsequent play throughs without a doubt as well as continuously get stronger as time progresses.
The rest…get what you want. There is really no “Sure” Way to do it. Whatever you feel was the most annoying farming for, try to keep those things.

Now Playing – 8/31/2014

Another series post, regarding “Now Playing”. Since the last time I posted about this specific topic, I have actually went through a variety of games. I played several games on Android, and heavily focused a lot of attention on PS3 as of late. I also finished some PC games since I last posted in this series.  Since posted I have either beaten, played, or fiddled with a variety of games… including but not limited to: Township (Android), Muramasa Rebirth (PS Vita),  Crazy Market (Vita), Crysis 3 (PS3), Bioshock Infinite (PS3), Wartune (Android), Ecolibrium (Vita),  and several others. Out of those, I have beaten a few of them. Now, let’s move on to what I am currently playing, why, and my experiences with it. Crysis 3 I recently beat, then moved onto Bioshock Infinite.

Now PlayingOverall a little background information. I use Raptr a lot. My Raptr profile can actually be found here: Here What I generally do is I will review Raptr to see my overall performance in a specific console (or PC), and depending on the stats I will favor one system for awhile. I have a lot of 360 gamer score, and a high rating on PC games. I just recently came off of a very long PC stint. For awhile I have acknowledged that my PSN level was lacking. So I have been, and will continue, to put a lot of time into PS3, and Vita to try to get that level up there. My current goal is around 10 or so. Making me way above average, I have awhile to go for that. Now let’s get started with what I am now playing.



Now Playing – Bioshock Infinite (PS3) 

This is the main game I am playing currently now playing. I am playing the PS3 version. I already finished the main game once, and got about 30% of the main game trophies. After finishing the game, I downloaded all the DLC. I already completed “Burial at Sea Episode 1” and got all the trophies for that already. I started the “Clash in the Clouds” as well. I also went back to the main campaign to unlock more of the trophies. Right now I will be focusing on the main game trophies, except for a few that annoy me, the clash in the clouds, and after I make more progress in those I will finish up Episode 2, then get the rest of the trophies within the clash of the clouds.

Overall this game has been a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Bioshock 1 and 2, but I liked the 3rd one a great deal more. The official reviews are largely positive, but if you read a lot of the user reviews a lot of people complain about it lacking as compared to 1 and 2. I, however, feel it’s a great game. It’s got a very… odd ending, but besides that, if you really understand the deep plot line of the game the majority of the ending makes sense.

Now Playing – Crazy Market (Vita)

This is just a small game for Vita that I have been playing on/off for a month or two. I am now playing it along side Bioshock Infinite, but I am not spending a lot of time on it at any one time. Something I am playing when I have nothing else to do. I have worked my way through about 60-70 days in-game so far. I am not sure if I will go back and try to get 3 stars on all of them or not, but it’s a possibility. It’s a worthy addition to the now playing update. It’s worth the time and effort to give it a try. So far I have purchased the “unlimited” booster so I can play whenever I want, purchased a great deal of gold for the game off the PSN store, and unlocked all of the barcodes. I can see myself playing it on and off continuously fora while longer, until it starts getting boring. I am currently playing it enough to consider it on my “What I am Playing” list.

Now Playing – Wartunes, Township, and Monument Valley (All Android)

Currently with my other now playing titles, I’ve been in a bit of an Android mood. These are the Android games I am playing currently. I am putting a lot of time into Wartunes, and Township, and some time (from time to time) into Monument Valley.

Monument Valley I am just putting in a little time here and there, for the purpose of clearing it. It’s a short, small, and easy game that is pretty fun for a puzzle. It’s got pretty good reviews. I can picture myself playing it until I beat it, and as they add new content for it, I can see myself picking it up over time so I continuously beat the new boards. As of right now i am pretty far into it, and if I keep playing it from time to time I should finish it after a little while. Then I will put it on the back burner until they get more updates for it. Overall its worth playing for the experience alone.

Wartunes is one of my favorite PC Browser game. They recently released an Android version, and it’s been on my now playing list almost consistently ever since. I take a few breaks from it, but overall I will probably continue to play it consistently for several more months, and even after I might continue logging in to do a few things. I am already high enough level to have a mount, and I have gotten in a guild and contributed more than anyone else. Overall I play it to pass time, but a lot.

Township is the one Android game I am playing the most right now. I play it almost on the spot, every few hours. It’s a town building, farming style game for Android and it’s one of my favorites. I have already leveled up enough to get two trains, and a large city. I already have spent a lot of time on it so far. Even when I am playing Bioshock Infinite, I will stop every 1-3 hours and go through doing everything I can in my town. So far it’s a very good game.

Misc – Now Playing

I have had a few other games on my mind, I am considering. Crysis 3 I did not quite beat. I got to the last boss, and spent a good bit of time in multiplayer. However I am thinking of going back and finishing that last boss, and putting some more time into leveling up in multiplayer and getting some of the trophies. Either one of these days coming up soon, or after I am totally finished with Bioshock Infinite. I am also considering, as a supplementary title, to start back on the Disgaea series for the PS Vita. I have played most of them, and beaten several of them…however now they have the main ones (Disgaea 1, 2, 3 and 4) all on Vita. I am thinking about going back through and getting perfect games on each one of them, in between playing other main titles on the PS3. I have not yet decided that yet.

Life Programming Structures

This is a blog post that I have delayed in writing for awhile now dealing with the idea of Life Programming. It’s an idea I thought about several years ago, but I am just now getting the time to put it into words. It took me awhile to figure out how to describe my thoughts on all of this, in a way that actually made sense. I am a Christian, so I reference God a lot in this blog post. Your more than welcome to replace it with whatever reference you feel comfortable with. This post looks at life from the perspective of a program. Life programming is a concept to which you compare life to a program, controlled by a programmer, in a programming language called Life Programming.

Picture God as a programmer who programs in this language called Life Programming. He created the universe, within which he created Earth. Then on Earth he created people. Each person has their own separate, individual, livable life. Then picture, that life is lived by that individual person, with total free will on what they do, and do not do. They have ultimate free will to make their own choices, and all their own decisions. They life their “life” within the “World”.

Now picture the world around them (and life in general) is loaded with a series of “Programs” that God created (or whoever it is that you worship, or lack thereof). These programs do not “control” the humans, or take away their free will. However, they are there. They provide some restrictions, they provide balance, and they provide an overall structure where the “World” can (to an effect) run itself. It can function in, and of itself without God’s constant intervention in every single detail.

With that being said, consider the thought that within this “Life Programming” language,  there is a programmer’s override code. He can override all the laws of his own programming and do anything he wants using this override. This override is called “Divine Intervention”. With it, he is able to reach down and directly affect things, without regards to the pre-defined programs setup by him. This isn’t just in Christian faith. Even the ancient Roman and Greek mythology accounted for divine intervention of various types. Regardless of your religion, this post can be adapted to your own thought processes.

Now, let’s start looking at some of these programs setup using Life Programming, and how they potentially affect the world around us.

Life Programming


Life Programming: Karma

Karma is the widely accepted belief that “What goes around comes around”, and “Cause and affect”. There is good Karma, and bad Karma.  When people do things that are good, good things happen to them. When people do things that are bad, bad things happen to them.  This entire theory behind Karma is often subject to debate. Some believe in it, some don’t. So I am mentioning this law loosely. This is at least, how things seem to work from my perspective and from what I have seen about life around me.

Karma is both naturally, and man-made. Naturally for every good thing someone does, something good comes back onto them at some point. On the opposite end of the spectrum, for every bad thing someone does, something bad comes back onto them at some point.  This happens on both very small things, and very large things as well. This is how the natural life handles Karma. You might do something small at one point like hold a door open for someone, then later on someone holds a door open for you. Another possibility is you simply find 5.00 laying on the ground. Something small but good will happen in return for every small and good thing you did. It might happen within a few days, or a few years. However, it will happen. The same goes with large things.

In Life Programming, Karma also has a functionality side that involves man-made machinations. A good example is the legal system. If someone kills someone (at some point). If they are human, they will naturally feel guilt. They will feel horrible for what happens. This is part of Karma. Due to their bad action, they “Feel” horrible. Another cause and affect. They have to deal with the hate and anger from the victims families, friends, and potentially lovers. They “feel” this feeling and it, again, acts as Karma.  Then they have to deal with the legal aspect. The man made cause and affect system. You do something against the law, you generally get in trouble for it legally. Life takes this into account and a lot of times it will still serve as natural cause and affect. Sometimes people murder people, and get away with it or don’t go to jail. In those situations, Life itself will handle the cause and affect system naturally since it slipped through the cracks of man-made machinations.

Karma uses both man-made and natural machinations to handle cause and affect. Never have I seen this turn around not happen.  At some point when someone helps someone, or does something good it comes back on them.

For Karma though, it has to be influenced by a decision. Karma isn’t a force that is spawned from nothing. You cannot have something get Karma applied to it out of nowhere. Karma requires a decision or an action. So a person makes a decision (good or bad) and then Karma spawns FROM that decision. Which starts the cause and affect cycle (even in situations where it takes a long time to see the effect). So essentially Karma activates on a specific decision. That is the only way it activates.

Another form of Karma is direct Karma.  A bad decision simply leads to a long-term bad affect. An example is someone drinks, drives, then wrecks and dies or is seriously injured. Another example is someone chooses to smoke, gets cancer, and dies. These are direct forms of Karma. No you didn’t go hit someone, then years later see the affect of that bad decision come back as bad karma. So Karma applies to bad decisions affecting yourself as well. However Karma always plays it’s own role. Just because someone smokes, doesn’t mean the end result will be death by cancer. Something else may happen instead. If anything. The term “good and bad” are used very loosely. To some, smoking may not be bad to them if it only hurts themselves. I don’t really know what to say about all of these specifics, so I will leave them to your imagination.

Situational Systems – Luck, Randomness, Variable Variation

Luck, randomness, and variable variation are the 3 different systems that work together, along with karma, to make everything happen in life… good and bad. When it’s not Karma that causes something to happen, it’s one of these 3 things.

Luck is when good or bad things happen based off of chance. This is a highly debate-able system. A lot of people believe in luck, while a lot of others don’t. The bible specifically speaks about luck in several places. Luck has an entire sub-culture surrounding it. It’s called superstition. A lot of people believe that a lot of things influence luck. Like knocking on wood brings good luck, walking under a ladder brings bad luck, or breaking a mirror brings bad luck. Superstition basically lays out a lot of ground rules regarding what does, and does not influence luck, and for how long. Some people believe in luck to this extreme, have a more laid back stance on luck. Perhaps they experience a few good, or bad situations and attribute it to luck. While others still hold a casual stance on luck. They primarily just associate it with poker games, and minor passing events. While still some don’t believe in it at all.

Randomness, is simply random patterns of things that happen without being caused by Luck or variable variation. They simply happen randomly, for no apparent reason, and just because. A simple example might be a meteor falling from the sky and landing on a specific car, a tree getting struck by lightning and falling on a specific house, a tornado randomly selection 5 houses but leaving one in the middle. Things like this constitute randomness. Constant, ever changing, random things that happen without any purpose, explanation, or reason. They simply happen, and they simply are. It can also come down to random small events as well.

Variable Variation, is the variable factor.  Some things happen randomly, while other things happen because of luck. However..in most situations it’s caused by different variables. A good example. If you have a science experiment (done right) and perform a certain set of actions with certain variables, the outcome of the experiment should always be the same. This is how life works. However there are so many variables that it is impossible (absolutely impossible) to almost always get the same situation to happen twice, exactly as the previous situation. You hear a lot of people saying things like “this would not have happened if”, or “things would have been different if”. Those are basically people saying that if some of the variables to the situation where different, the outcome would have been different. Almost all professionals also tend to say “No two situations are the same”. This is another example of variables. A good example is when your trying to get a price for something, they won’t normally give you a flat price for every situation. The prices of most services changes depending on a thousand different variables and situations. Some people who might mow your yard might use several variables to price this out. The size of the yard, the height of the grass, how thick the grass is, danger of snakes, slopes in the grass, whether or not they have a riding or push mower, how many people are mowing it, how fast it needs mowed and so forth. So many different factors, or variables, might go into pricing something as simple as mowing a yard.

I think that pretty much covers the majority of my thoughts on Life Programming. If anything else comes to mind about life programming, I might expand on this post in the future with some additional sections, and/or additional thoughts. If anyone has anything to add, throw it together in the comments and I will add a section, along with my thoughts about it, into this post.

Diablo 3 – Powerleveling Hardcore

Diablo 3 is a great game, and I have spent a lot of time playing it lately. I have been playing Diablo 3 in Hardcore mode only. That means when you die, your character is dead forever.  That normally isn’t a problem. However, upon receiving a death (especially at level 70) that means you lose your character, any gear (legendaries) and so forth. What happens when you lose a 70. You have to re-level them from the ground up. My thought process is this..the first time you level ANY class, you should level on your own. Get from 1, all the way to 70 on your on. Do it using the Campaign, adventure mode (bounties + Rifts) or whatever else. But do it on your own. Learn your character, and get use to the game. However, upon losing a 70.. no one wants to re-level the same character all over again.

Diablo 3 – Power Leveling 101

That is where this power leveling guide comes in. The process is very simple.  We are going to be using the bounty system, to help you level from 1 to the early 60’s pretty easily, and very fast.

To start with, you need to join the proper community to make this easy and fast. Once your logged into the game.. hit “shift+o”. This will open the clan/community window.  Go to Communities at the bottom. Then search for “hc level”. This will bring up the hardcore leveling community. Once there, double click on the community and join it. Close down the window. Then hit “Shift+o” again and you will see the community. It will say how many people are in chat. Click the chat icon, and join the chatroom. Once there, this is the chat you need to use while power leveling.

Now let me explain how this works. Groups of people comprised of 3 leeches and 1 clearer get together and complete bounties for experience. Currently, only two bounties are used for power leveling. The first bounty is “The Cursed Cellar” in act 1. The second bounty is “The Hell Rift” in act 4.  These can be both done whenever they are available.  You have two options. Finding the bounty on your map (when it’s available) or joining someone else’s party.

In Diablo 3, in order to start your own party you must first have the bounty. To do this load up the game and check act 1 and 4 to see if either of those bounties are available. If not, then leave the game and re-join.  Once you find the bounty you just need to build your party. In the chat log you will then ask for party members. You will need 1 clearer (the level 70 needed to clear the bounty for you), and 2 leeches (two lower level players that will go into the party with you to get experience. The reason you normally want to get a full party (as described) is it gives you an experience bonus. However, sometimes if you have an impatient clearer you may have to start it sooner before you have an entire party. Your current level also determines how hard the enemies are, and thus what experience you get. The higher your level (or the level of the party leader) the more overall experience is obtained. In chat you can say things like.. “Level 25 HR (hell rift) LF 2 leech + 1 Clearer”. Then as people respond in chat, or whisper you just add them to the party.  It’s easy. Once the party is built, then you complete the bounty and get experience. How to complete the bounty itself will be described shortly.

Another (easier) option is to also keep an eye out for people who already have the bounty that are looking for other leeches to finish the bounty. If you see an open party then whisper them for an invite. To make it fast as possible, you want to scan chat for people looking for leechers and be quick to respond, as well as keep looking for available bounties in your own game as well.

For the bounties themselves you will want to do Cursed Cellar and/or Hell Rift until about level 50-53. Then switch to do Hell Rift only so you get the most experience. Throughout the 50’s you can normally get 2 levels per Hell Rift completion.

Once the party is formed, the process is different depending on the bounty, as described above.

If it’s cursed cellar then the clearer will teleport down to the cellar and clear out the enemies. Then they will tell you to teleport down, most of the time they just use the word”Safe”. You then go to their banner and teleport down. Then you hide behind the wall near the door and wait. They go in and clear out the bounty, and once it’s done the bounty is complete. You get a lot of experience as they kill the enemies, as well from the bounty completion. Once complete, then you come out and get all of loot from the chest, and then normally leave party. Sometimes level 70’s will ask you to drop low level gems. It’s always polite to drop what you can, so they get something for helping you out. Though they don’t always ask.

The Hell Rift works almost the same way. Once the party is built they will go down and say to teleport to them or come down. You want to teleport down using their banner. Once it loads you want to immediately teleport back to town and then just wait. After awhile they will trigger the fight, complete the bounty and you get a giant experience boost. Normally 2-3 levels each time if your higher level.

Unfortunately it tapers off in the 60’s and you get less. When you get bored, or it slows to a crawl then just switch back to standard leveling. At that point I have been told that bounties are the fastest way to finish.

In Diablo 3 overall I have gotten a character from Level 1, to level 50 using the first bounty. Then to level 63 using the Hell Rift.  It took me less than 3 hours to get to 63 using this method and this also involved several breaks, delays getting into parties, and other issues that arose. Overall if you had a really good run of luck, it is entirely possible to get from 1-63 using this method in just 90 minutes. It would require focus, speed, and good luck getting into parties.

Technically, in Diablo 3, if someone wanted to.. the ycould take every single class and get them all up to 63 easy. You could easily get 1 level 70 together in elss than 6 hours, even gaining the extra levels on your own. So all maxed out characters in less than 3-4 days, if not faster… then all that is left is to get geared.

Diablo 3 Note: Always try to do the runs in Torment 6. That gives you maximum experience. Some people do it at lower torment levels, but anytime you can is better. If your joining a new players game then sometimes they have not beaten the game and do not have Torment unlocked. This takes longer, but is still worth the experience generally.

A few things have changed with the most recent patches in Diablo 3. A few of the zones bounties had their experience reduced. From what I can tell, it still seems the current “Power levelers” still use the same two as described in this post.


Chocobo Racing – Final Fantasy 10 – Mini-Game

The Final Fantasy 10 Chocobo Racing and Catching Mini-Game is one of the most annoying mini-games in all of the Final Fantasy games.  It is very time consuming, very random, and very aggravating.  Compound that with the fact that you have to actually get a time of 00:00 in order to get Tidus’s ultimate weapon. On top of that, they added a trophy to it as well in the HD-Remaster edition.

Chocobo RacingWith that being said, I have still always managed to succeed, given time and patience. Throughout the time I have been playing the game, I have gotten 00:00 probably around 4 times. Each time I have tried over the course of my years playing the game it has taking gaming sessions close to 6 hours each. Each time I try, I typically have to try continuously for close to 6 hours before finally getting it. A few of the times I had extremely bad luck, and had to do 2-3 series of 6 hour sessions in order to achieve success.

One thing I can say, there are no exploits, or glitches, or cheats or anything else that can be used to your advantage. There are however a small hand full of tips and tricks that you will have to learn after a lot of trial and error. I intend to describe those tips/tricks in an attempt to at least save new players the time of having to learn them the hard way.  Some of the techniques might help make achieving it a lot easier and faster for some people. The Chocobo Racing isn’t meant to be easy, but hopefully some of these tips help.

A few tips and tricks

1. Use the D-Pad instead of the thumb stick. It’s a lot smoother and less jumpy when trying to do the Chocobo Racing.

2. Try to get as many balloons at the beginning section (before the first turn) as possible. The more you get there, the better the chances of success. Note if the initial balloon is closer to her, ignore it and focus on leaning yourself towards the right. Some of the balloon patterns are setup to make it easier for her to get them all, others start by grouping them on the right. If you can get to the right and get the first 1/2 balloons, then getting the rest are pretty easy at that point (at least up until the first turn.

3. Time your first time movement carefully. Once you learn the timing you will be able to clear that first major turn almost perfectly and line yourself up with a series of balloons that immediately appear near the end of the turn (at least on some balloon patterns).

4. After the first turn, dodge birds first and foremost, seconded by getting balloons.

5. Use the directional pad instead of the thumbstick.

6. Try to get as many baloons at the beginning as possible.

Winning the Chocobo Race in Final Fantasy 10 can be a very tricky, and extremely frustrating. Luckily I was able to get it accomplished, and since it took me a lot of trial and error I decided to write this blog post about Chocobo Racing to outline some of the things that got me through it successfully.
